Delta Gamma

Anchor Splash: Our week long philanthropy is the second largest fundraiser that takes place among Greek Life on the Oregon State University campus. The week long event consists of a “Most Beautiful Eyes” competition and change donation in the Memorial Union Quad. On Tuesday, each fraternity on campus performs a synchronized swimming routine for the seniors in Delta Gamma. Each fraternity is coached by the freshmen and sophomore members of Delta Gamma. This synchronized swimming competition is by far the most exciting event that occurs within OSU Greek Life. The final day of the philanthropy is the date of the Mr. and Mrs. Anchor Splash Pageant. Each fraternity and sorority on campus nominates one of their members to participate in a pageant consisting of sportswear, swim wear, a flex off, a question and answer, and a talent. At the pageant, we announce the house that won the week’s events and the Mr. and Mrs. Anchor Splash.

Anchor Slam: Anchor Slam is a new philanthropy to our chapter. This two-day philanthropy event consists of a basketball tournament that anyone can participate in. We try to welcome anyone outside of Greek Life to participate in this event. This past year we had about 30 teams participate in our second annual Anchor Slam. Along with having 30 teams participate, we also had the OSU Men's Basketball team ref the event. This event is a much smaller event than Anchor Splash, but we know that it is another way for our chapter to donate to the Delta Gamma Foundation.
